A charming but rustic safari camp, Rhino Safari Camp lies in a wild and remote area within the Matusadona National Park on the shores of Lake Kariba. This unfenced permanent camp enjoys a plentiful water supply from the lake and is home to a wide variety of animals which are not shy about moving through the camp on their established trails. The camp has seven twin bedded rooms elevated on wooden platforms with thatched roofs, open fronts and reed sides, giving each room a feeling of being open to the elements and at one with nature. Rooms are spacious with en-suite open air shower, flush loo and sink, running water is available from wood fired boilers and each room also has a magnificent view of the lake. Communal areas include a bar, dining area and upstairs lounge with amazing views across the lake.
Activities include bush walks in the cool morning or late afternoon where guests get to track game on foot. Walking is where the emphasis is here, however, game drives, fishing, hiking and sunset boat cruises are also available in this stunning area.
