Kanga Camp is situated on a private concession 15km inland from the Zambezi River within one of the most remote parts of Mana Pools. The camp is open from 1st April to 15th November.  Having been built around Kanga Pan (which is the only permanent water source in the area) it means that the lodge can offer amazing wildlife sightings from the comfort of the main deck and the tented rooms between activities – particularly from mid-July to the end of the season when lion, leopard, hyena and wild dog are prolific.

In the main area of the camp there is a large lounge, dining area and splash pool for cooling off in the hotter months, which are all set on split-level decking overlooking the Kanga Pan. Accommodation consists of a total of six tents – two honeymoon or family units with en-suite bathroom including an outdoor bath and shower and four standard Meru style tents with outdoor open air bathroom facilities including flush loo and shower.  All the tents are simply but comfortably furnished and have a view of Kanga Pan. “Kanga under the Stars” offers an opportunity to sleep on an open platform under the stars.

Activities include the classic game drives and walking.  Canoeing and fishing is on request as the Zambezi River is an hour’s drive away. At the beginning of the season (Apr –mid Jul) game viewing is sporadic and to compensate for this guests are taken on a full day excursion that include a picnic lunch and afternoon river trip.
