Goliath Safaris is a semi-permanent camp located on the Zambezi riverfront in Mana Pools, open from 1st May to 31st October. The owners, Stretch Ferreira and Flo Coughlan are renowned for providing guests with a unique and personalized safari. One of the main attractions is tracking lion and wild-dog and sitting with bull elephants (not for the faint-hearted!) with Stretch who has a wealth of knowledge and years of experience as a pro guide with over 25 years’ experience in Mana Pools alone. Goliath Safaris offers an authentic, classic camping experience with all the necessary comforts and good food. Goliath is perfect for those whose focus of the stay is all about the wildlife experience.
Accommodation comprises of seven East African rustic style safari tents with twin beds, en-suite shower, flush loo and washstand.
Goliath runs a little differently to other camps and lodges in that there is no set routine. Each day is planned according to guest’s wishes. Generally walks in the morning, drives, canoeing and fishing in the afternoon (recommend guests bring their own rod). Stretch takes all guests on a walk each day but drives and canoeing may be conducted by other guides.
